Charlie Puth (born December 2, 1991) is an American singer, songwriter, musician and record producer.
Born and raised in Rumson, New Jersey, Puth is the son of Debra and Charles Puth — his father of German descent; his mother Jewish.
Puth participated in a summer youth jazz ensemble in Red Bank at age twelve, later graduating from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in 2010. From 7th grade to his senior year, Puth attended Manhattan School of Music Pre-College as a jazz piano major and a classical minor.
In 2013, Puth graduated from the Berklee College of Music, where he majored in music production and engineering, and where he attended on a full scholarship.
Puth's right eyebrow was injured in a near fatal dog bite incident at age two.
